Carnival is Arubas biggest party of the year and you are invited! Parades, dances, music parties and most importantly the elaborate costumes unlike any other, show the world why Aruba is “One Happy Island”.
Carnival has been celebrated on the island for more than 100 years. Immigrants of Trinidad and other Caribbean British islands brought their traditions beginning with more modest parades and small gatherings in Oranjistead and evolving into the elaborate celebrations that exist today throughout the island.
Festivities begin 47 days before Easter and ends when thousands of locals and tourist alike line the streets for the islands Grand Parades in Orinjistead and San Nicolas the weekend before Shrove Tuesday and the beginning of Lent.
” Celebrate who you are in your deepest heart. Love yourself and the world will love you.”
